Helana and Liam

Having been inspired by Jill Sanders I decided to keep this shoot very simple especially when it came to editing. Using the burn tool on photoshop enhanced the clothes and removed all recognisable detail which produced harsh shapes. This also helped to highlight the flow of the garments. I believe this shoot was successful and some of these images will be used in my final prints.

For my next shoot..

Having thought about how my last shoot went, I was happy with the outcome of the images however for my next shoot there are some things I would change.

Firstly, I would shoot from a different angle and viewpoint to show the clothing in a different way. Shooting from lower down will make the model and the clothes seem over powering.

Also, think I was repeating my images when shooting. In order to avoid this happening again, I will research and plan a number of different poses. Something else I believe I could improve on would be the number of photos I take of the same pose.

For my next shoot I am going to be using two models, this will be an interesting and exciting task as I have never done this before. I am hoping the models will work well together to ensure my images are successful. Both models will need outfits to compliment one another, this planning will be done prior to the shoot.

Ella Images

This shoot was successful because the clothes used portrayed the structural elements I had intended to show. Elements of line shape can be seen throughout these photos. The editing process was kept simple as I wanted the clothes to attract the audience.

Using photoshop I was able to experiment with the layout of the image.

BTS from recent shoots

Using my computer as a camera, the models felt more comfortable posing as they were able to see exactly how they looked in the reflection.

Mood board for 13th dec shoot

For my next shoot to be a success I created a mood board to send to the model.

Having been asked to photograph for a set of fashion students I thought I would use the connection to my own advantage.

For my upcoming shoot I asked Rebecca, the fashion student to help style the shoot with me. As well as this she was also on sight as a MUA. I sent Rebecca the mood board I had created so she could get an idea of the colour palette I was going for.  We agreed that the model would wear a long coat and a pair of culottes in one look and a puffer jacket for a separate look.

clothes show live (inspired)

Attending the clothes show live was helpful research for me when planning my next shoots as I was able to view some of the current trends on the catwalks.
